ABOUT US

It was their shared love for the United States that brought Luca, a jazz musician, and Girogia, a lawyer, to New York City from the beautifull island of Sardinia. It was Giorgia's passion for food that made them decide to open Epistrophy in 2005. Since then, they have managed to stay in touch with their homeland, serving the most genuine and deeply Sardinian-inspired recipes.

Soon, their high-school friend Nicola joined them in this engaging adventure, bringing his passion for wine from a family with a century-long knowledge and devotion to vineyards and wine making.
At Epistrophy, we are committed to using the best ingredients for our recipes, selecting local products whenever possible, seeking hormone and antibiotic free, grass-fed USDA Organic Certified meat. The seafood is selected following the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch Guide to guarantee the seafood sustainability by no longer serving items from the red "Avoid" list.

Several wines on the list are made from organically grown grapes.

Driven by Luca's musical knowledge and passion, Epistrophy hosts an anual mictro music festival "E se (What if...)", now in it's 8th edition and a traditional jazz set every Sunday night.
